Duco Hoogland (PVDA) Member of the Dutch House of Representatives

Duco Hoogland (born on September 14th, 1984 in Berkel en Rodenrijs) is a member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the Labour Party (PvdA).

Political Career[edit]

Duco Hoogland studied Political Science (BSc) at the University of Leidin from 2003 until 2009. From 2009 until 2010 he studied for his Political Science MSc at the University of Amsterdam and in 2011 he started studying for a Master in Management at the Open University of the Netherlands.

Education[edit]

Duco Hoogland was chairman of the board of the National Youth council from 2004 until 2005 and then became chairman of the PvdA Rotterdam in the Feijenoord district until 2006. From 2006 until 2010 Hoogland was a member of the city council for the Pvda of the Rotterdam municipality whilst holding a post on the advisory board of the National Youth council from 2006 until 2011. From 2007 until now he has been an independent presider. Furthermore, Duco Hoogland has been the political assistant to alderman mister Karakus from 2010 and on November the 8th, 2012 he became a member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the PvdA.
