Christos Karagiannidis

Christos Karagiannidis was born in Drama. He is a Greek politician and sound engineer. He became the first deputy that the left has elected in Drama since 1958.

Political Career[edit]

In his early youth he joined the left and participated actively in social movements for the defence of social and political rights and democracy. He participated in the European Social Forum, held in Athens May 2006. Socially active in Drama, he is a member of the Electoral Committee of Drama’s Labour Center, also a member of Drama’s “Eco” Movement, and a member of Synaspismos Prefecture Committee in Drama.

Education Career[edit]

After graduating from high school, he went to Athens to study Audio Engineering at Papantonopoulos Cinema School. He continued his studies in London’s Audio School of Engineering. He speaks English.

Notable Work[edit]

He frequently contributes with articles in Drama’s local press and newspapers of the left Avgi.
