Charoula (Chara) Kafantari

Charoula Kafantari was born in 1958. She is a Greek politician and pensioner bank clerk. She was elected as a member of the Greek Parliament in June 17th, 2012, with SYRIZA – USF (Coalition of Radical Left – Unitary Social Front).

Political Career[edit]

She is a Member of the Prefectural Secretariat (B’ Athens) of Synaspismos – Coalition of the Left of Movements and Member of the Secretariat of the department of Ecology and Environment of Synaspismos. She was elected delegate in the General Assembly of GEOT.E.E. (Geotechnical Chamber of Greece).

Education Career[edit]

She gained a Bachelor of Science in Geology (from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Science, Faculty of Geology.) She speaks English and French.

Notable Work[edit]

She is also an activist in urban and environmental movements, as well as in the trade union of bank employees.
