Carina Van Cauter

Carina Van Cauter was born on June 27th 1962 in Merchtem (Belgium). She is a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish Liberal Party (Open VLD).

Political Career[edit]

Carina Van Cauter started her political career in 2000, as elected provincial councillor in Oost Vlaanderen. In 2004, she replaced Georges De Langhe as provincial deputy of environment, communication, and tourism in Oost Vlaanderen. Two years later, she got elected as provincial deputy for sports, urban planning, and human resources. Since 2007, she has held a seat in the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for Open VLD.

Education[edit]

She holds a Master’s degree in law from the KU Leuven.
