Ascensión de las Heras Ladera is a member of the United Left (IU) Party and member of the Spanish Parliament since 2011.

Ascensión de las Heras Ladera was born in Madrid on November 22^nd 1964.

Political Career

Since 2011, she served as spokesperson for the Commission on Development, spokesperson for the Commission on Culture, spokesman for the Commission on Equality, Deputy Spokesman of the Commission for the Study of Climate Change, Member of the Subcommittee on Streamlining Schedules, Concil. and Corresponsab; Member of the Subcommittee for the Study of trafficking human beings for sexual exploitation and Member of the Subcommittee for the Study and Analysis of the Spanish rail system in the Spanish Congress of Deputies. In addition, since 2007 she is the IU spokesperson in the city of Collado Villalba.

Education

Ascensión de las Heras graduated with a degree in Geography and History.
