Antonin Seda

Antonin Seda (born on December 12, 1960, in Sternberk) is a Czech politician for the Social Democrats Party, and since 2002 a Member of the Chamber of Deputies for the Zlin Region.

Education[edit]

Antonin Seda graduated from a Mechanics speciality Secondary School in the city of Uherske Hradiste. He attained his Bachelor's Degree at the Faculty of Engineering at Technical University in Brno after which he gained a Master's Degree from the Department of aeronautical engineering . Between 1993 - 1994 he also studied Business Management and Management (Swiss Foundation Transfer).

Political career[edit]

In 1989 he joined the Social Democrats, or more precisely, participated in its renewal. In the municipal elections of 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010 he was elected to the council of the city of Uherske Hradiste. In the election period between 1998-2002 he worked there as a councillor.

In the 2002 elections he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies for Social Democrats. He was a member of the parliamentary committee for defence and security. Chamber chair retained the elections in 2006. He was Vice Chairman of the Defence Committee in 2009-2010 and a member of the safety committee. He was re-elected to the Chamber in the elections in 2010, was a member of the Defence Committee and by March 2012 a member of the Committee on Social Policy.

In the elections to the Chamber of Deputies in 2013, he was elected a deputy.
