Andreas F. Karlsböck

Andreas F. Karlsböck, born on November 18, 1960 in Wien, is an Austrian politician, dentist and a Member of Parliament for the FPÖ (Freiheitliche Partei Österreichs; Freedom Party of Austria) since 2008.

Political career[edit]

Karlsböck has been a member of the FPÖ Vienna- Landstraße since 1992 and was elected to the District Council in 1996. Karlsböck is a member of the provincial party leadership of the FPÖ Vienna and has been the deputy chairman of the district party FPÖ-Ottakring since 1996. Karlsböck also worked as a functionary from 1993 to 2007 in several functions of the Vienna Medical Association. Karlsböck ran sixth place on the Vienna FPÖ-country list in the parliamentary election in 2008 and was elected on that constituency in the House of Representatives. Karlsböck was sworn in on October 28, 2008 as a deputy and took on the role of spokesman in the area of medicine within the Freedom Party parliamentary group.

Education[edit]

Karlsböck attended high school and graduated Medicine at the University of Vienna until 1985. He graduated from 1985-1993 his residency as doctor working in Vienna and Vorarlberg. He was employed at the University Dental Hospital of Vienna between 1993 and 1995. In 1995, he completed the board examination for Oral Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery and has since been working as a dentist.
