André Berghegger

Dr. André Berghegger is a member of the CDU/CSU and was born on July 5th, 1972 in Osnabrück, Germany. He is a lawyer.

Political Career[edit]

Berghegger has been a member of the CDU since 1996. From 1996 to 2001, he was a member of the Ostercappeln community council. From 2004 to 2006, he was head of department for finance and economy in the city of Melle. He was the mayor of Melle from 2006 to 2013. From 2011 to 2013, he was a member of the presidium of the Lower Saxony Association of Cities. Since 2012, he has been the county vice-chair of the CDU in the Osnabrück. He has been a member of the Bundestag since 2013, representing Osnabrück

Education[edit]

From 1992 to 1995, Berghegger underwent training in higher general administrative services in Osnabrück. This was followed by a study of law at the University of Osnabrück from 1995 to 2000. In 2004, he obtained a PhD from the University of Osnabrück.
