Charoula (Chara) Kafantari

Charoula Kafantari was born in 1958.She is a Greek politician and pensioner bank clerk. She is elected member of the Greek Parliament since June 17th, 2012, with SYRIZA – USF (Coalition of Radical Left – Unitary Social Front).

Political Career

She is Member of Prefectural Secretariat (B’ Athens) of Synaspismos – Coalition of the Left of Movements and Member of the Secretariat of the department of Ecology and Environment of Synaspismos. She elected delegate in the General Assembly of GEOT.E.E. (Geotechnical Chamber of Greece).

Education Career

Bachelor of Science in Geology (from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Science, Faculty of Geology.) She speaks English and French.

Notable Work

Activist in urban and environmental movements, as well as in the trade union of bank employees.
