Viera Tomanová

Viera Tomanová was born on 5rd of February 1948. She is currently a member of the Slovak National Council as the member of Smer-SD and also a member of the Committee on Social Affairs.

Political Career

Viera Tomanová is the former Minister of Labour, Social Matters and Family of Slovakia under Prime Minister Robert Fico between years 2006 and 2010. She was popular among the elderly citizens for establishing "Christmas pensions", the 13th state pensions issued out in December.

Education

In 1972, Viera Tomanová graduated from Vysoká škola ekonomická in Bratislava.
