Stefan Wenzel

Stefan Wenzel born 5 May 1962 in Nakskov (Denmark) is a German politician for the Alliance '90/The Greens. He was elected for the Lower Saxon Landtag in 1998 and has been re-elected on two occasions.

Political Career

Since 1986 Stefan Wenzel was a Member of Alliance 90 / The Greens From 1986 to 2001 he was a Member of the district of Göttingen, followed by his membership in the United Ortsrates Lengden from 2001 to 2006. From 1998 Stefan Wenzel became a Member of the Landtag of Lower Saxony and since 2013 he is the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Lower Saxony for the Environment, Energy and Climate Change. He is a Member of the Federal Council since 2013.

Education

Stenfa Wenzel studied Agricultural Economics from 1983 to 1991 at the University of Göttingen. For his et al Activity in an SOS Children's Village and a cooperative project start-ups he stayed in South America for a year.
