Sauli Ahvenjärvi is a member of the parliament for the constituency of Satakunta. He is in the Christian Democratic Party and has been in office since 2011.

Political Career[edit]

Sauli Ahvenjärvi has been in the Christian Democratic Parliamentary group since 2011. He has also been a Grand Committee deputy member since 2011. Ahvenjärvi is a member of the City Council for Rauma. In the 2014 election for the European Commision he was a candidate for the Christian Democratic Party but he was unable to secure enough votes.

Education[edit]

He attended the Tampere University of Technology where he obtained a Master of Science degree in Technology in 1982. He took his PhD at the same university in 2009.
