Pavol Frešo (born on 21st April 1969 in Bratislava) is a Slovak Politician and member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic. He is currently the chairman of SDKÚ-DS and chairman of Bratislava.
Political career[edit]
From 1992 to 1993 he was the vice-chairman of ODS, later renamed KDS. In the period of 2003-2005, he was the chairman of the Revision and Check Commission of SDKÚ-DS. From 2003 to 2005 Frešo was the vice-chairman for interior in DS. In 2006 he became the member of Presidium of SDKÚ-DS (DS merged with SDKÚ). In 2006 he was elected as the member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic for SDKÚ-DS. Since 2009 he has been the elected chairman of the Bratislava region. In 2012 he was also elected as the chairman of SDKÚ-DS after the former prime minister Mikuláš Dzurinda. He is currently a member of the Committee on European Affairs and of the Committee for the Review of Decisions of the National Security Authority.
