Mohammed Omran is an economist with more than three decades experience in strategic planning, performance measurement and benchmarking. He is also an expert in sector assessments, results-based monitoring and evaluation and results-based logical framework.

Biography[edit]

Omran has worked for numerous developmental organisations and agencies including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the African Development Bank (AfDB). As well as working with the United States and Europe, Dr. Omran has also worked as a Consultant with the European Community (EC) and as Vice Chairman for Cooperation of EGX Insurance Holding Company prior to become Chairman. Dr. Mohamed Omran clearly has a strong economical background which has also enabled him to work as an Economist at the Arab Monetary Fund in Abu Dhabi and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington D.C., Advisor to the Minister of Investment as well as Acting Executive Director of the Egyptian Institute of Directors

Education[edit]

Mohamed Omran completed his Masters Degree at Cairo University in Egypt and then a PhD in Finance from the University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom.
