Miguel Freitas

Miguel João Pisoeiro de Freitas was born on December 25th, 1960. He is a university professor and he serves as a deputy for the Portuguese National Assembly.

Political Career[edit]

He was elected by the electoral circle of Faro for the Socialist Party as a deputy on the XII Legislature (2011-2015). However, he has been a deputy since the X Legislature (2005-2009). He is currently a member on various Parliamentary Commissions including the Agriculture and Sea Commission. He is President of the Socialist Party Federation in Algarve. He was Agricultural Regional Director of Algarve, President of LEADER II Monitoring Commission and Portuguese Spokesperson for the European Union on Agricultural Affairs.

Education[edit]

Miguel Freitas holds a Master in Agri-Food Economy.
