Michael Gonzi is a member of parliament of the Republic of Malta for the twelfth legislation.

Personal Life

Born in 1960 in Sliema Michael Gonzi is the younger brother of Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and a nephew of late Archbishop of the Diocese of Malta Monsignor Mikiel Gonzi. He graduated in medicine he was a family physician in the north of Malta and is married with two children.

Education

Hon. Michael Gonzi is a medical practitioner and serves the north of Malta, popularly know as a family doctor around the St. Paul's Bay area.

Political Career

He was first elected in Parliament from the twelfth district in 2003, and re-elected in the 2008 general elections. Actually Hon. Michael Gonzi is a member of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs, and a member of the Maltese parliamentary delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
