Melita Mulić was born on 15 October 1976 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SDP; Croatian: Socijaldemokratska partija Hrvatske) and has been a member of the Croatian Parliament (Hrvatski sabor) during its seventh term.

Political Career[edit]

Mulić was a member of the Zagreb City Council between 2009 and 2013. Additionally, she was a member of the Main Committee of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) between 2010 and 2012. Mulić's term of office began on 18 January 2012 as Tomislav Saucha's substitute. She is a member of the Foreign Policy Committee, a member of the Committee on Human and National Minority Rights, a member of the Interparliamentary Co-operation Committee, and a member of the Gender Equality Committee. Also, she is a member of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean and a member of the Delegation to the Central European Iniciative Parliamentary Dimension. Formerly, she was a member of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Education[edit]

Mulić graduated from the University of Zadar, Information and Communication Sciences Department, having majored in tourism communication. Upon completion of a postgraduate study at the University of Sussex, she acquired the degree of Master of Contemporary European Studies.
