Margareta Guček Zakošek (born August 21, 1970) is a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia and a member of the Party of Miro Cerar (Slovenian: Stranka Mira Cerarja - SMC).

Political Career

She was elected to the National Assembly in 2014.

Professional Career

She started her professional career at an American pharmaceutical company where she gained a number of skills in marketing, sales and management as well as she met with the healthcare system in Slovenia, in Europe and around the world. Throughout the years she performed different functions within the company. In 2009, she was inducted to the higher lecturer for Business Economics. In 2010 and 2011, she was lecturing marketing at the private Faculty of Commercial and Business Studies in Celje.

Education

Guček Zakošek graduated in biology at the Biotechnical Faculty in Ljubljana. She has also obtained MA at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana. During her studies, she was a junior researcher of the Slovenian Science Foundation.
