María Carmen Sánchez Díaz, born 10 October 1968 in Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, is a member of the Spanish Chamber of Deputies representing the Spanish province of Cádiz. Sánchez Díaz is a member of the Spanish Socialist Worker’s Party, Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE) and she is a member of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Grupo Socialista (GS) within the Chamber of Deputies.

Political Career[edit]

María Carmen Sánchez Díaz has been an MP for the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) from Madrid, during the VII, VIII, IX and the X legislatures. During the VIII and the IX legislatures she was the deputy spokesperson of the Socialist Group. She is also vocal on the Provincial Executive of the PSOE in Cádiz and a member of the Steering Committee of the PSOE in Andalucía. In the Chamber of Deputies she is a member of the Defense Committee, the Committee on Agriculture, Food and Environment, the Racing Rules Committee, and the Spanish Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Finally, Sánchez Díaz is the Second Vice-President of the Commission for the Comprehensive Disability Policy.


Education[edit]

Sánchez Díaz has a diploma in Tourism Management and Public Administration. She is a technician in Job Placement.
