Mónica Almiñana Riqué

Mónica Almiñana Riqué was born on 14th February 1971 in Barcelona, Spain. She is a member of the Spanish Senate and member of the Socialist Catalan Party (PSC).

Political Career

She was chief of staff of the Department of Family Welfare and the Minister Carmen Figueras (2006), Assistant Manager of CatSalut South in Barcelona (2007-2009) and South CatSalut Manager in Barcelona (2009-2010). She has been councilor of Sitges since the local elections of May 2014. Furthermore, she is a member of the PSC since 2004. She is a Spanish Senator for Barcelona since 2011.

Education

She holds a Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery, specialized in Family Medicine and also holds a Masters degree in Management of Health Institutions.
