Lothar Binding

Lothar Binding is a member of SPD and was born on April 1, 1950 in Sandershausen, Germany. He is a high voltage electrician and mathematician by profession.

Political Career[edit]

Binding became a member of SPD , and the Local Association of Sandershausen in 1966. Between 1980 and 1986, he was a board member of Young Socialists Heidelberg. From 1986 to 1994, and again from 1998 to 2001, he was chairman of the SPD district association Heidelberg. Between 1993 and 1995, he was a member of the 1. Control Council of the SPD Baden-Württemberg. From 1989 to 2001, he was a member of the Heidelberg City Council, and from 1994 to 2001, chairman of the SPD fraction in the council. He was a member of the Regional Association of Lower Neckar from 1998 to 2003. Binding has been a member of Parliament since 1998.

Education[edit]

In 1968, Binder obtained his certification as a high voltage electrician. In 1981, he further completed his study of mathematics, physics, and philosophy in Tübingen and Heidelberg.
