Lord Young of Norwood Green is a Labour member of the House of Lords. He joined the House of Lords since June 2004.

Political Career[edit]

His first role was as a member of the EU Sub-Committee on Home Affairs from 2007 to 2008. He then went on to be a member of the Crossrail Bill Committee in 2008. Between 2008 and 2009 he served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills.

He has also served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Since 2010 she has been Shadow Spokesman for Business, Innovation and Skills.
