History

Andros Kyprianou is a representative of Nicosia constituency under the banner of AKEL-Left-New Forces since 2001. Political career:

  • Member of the Strovolos Municipal Council (1996-2001).
  • Member of the AKEL Strovolos Cluster Committee.
  • Member of the AKEL Nicosia District Committee.
  • Member of the AKEL Central Committee since 1990, of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee since 1995 and of the Secretariat of the Central Committee since 2000.
  • Spokesman of AKEL (2003-2009).
  • General Secretary of the AKEL Central Committee since 2009.
  • Member of the National Council, the supreme advisory body to the President of the Republic on the Cyprus problem, since 2008.
