Karin Temmerman

Karin Temmerman was born on September 25th 1958 in Gent (Belgium). She is a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish Socialist Party (SP.A).

Political Career[edit]

Karin Temmerman started her political career in 2000 as a councillor in Gent. She became alderman for city planning and mobility. She got re-elected in 2006 and got appointed to the function of alderman for mobility, housing, and city planning in Gent. She held this position until 2010. She remained a councillor though after the local elections in 2012. After the national elections in 2010, she moved to the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish socialists (SP.A).

Education[edit]

She holds a Master’s degree in Ethics.
