Kamanga Clementine Shakembo speaks on “Eco-Tourism in the Democratic Republic of the Congo: Opportunities & Challenges”

Kamanga Clementine Shakembo is one of the most prominent ambassadors within Germany. She is very passionate about cultural diplomacy. She is an active supporter of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy and she has spoken at many conferences organized by the ICD.

Political Career[edit]

She served abroad numerous embassies throughout her career and became Congo’s foreign minister from 2002 until 2007.

Education[edit]

She completed her education by receiving a Master’s degree in Psychology in Paris and completed her traineeship in international relations at the UN in Moscow in 1979. In 1984 she completed a course focussing on international relations again in Paris, but this time at an international institute for public administration.
