Julio de España Moya

Julio de España Moya has been a member of the People’s Party since 1990. He was a City Councillor from 1991 to 2003 in Alicante and a member of the Provincial Council of Alicante from 1993 to 2003 (he was the Chairman of the Council from 1995 to 2003). He was also a deputy for the province of Alicante in the 1993 general elections, but resigned shortly thereafter and was replaced by Francisco Vicente Barcelo Murcia. Moya was also elected deputy to the Valencian Parliament elections in 2003, occupying the chair of the Valencian Parliament until 2007. Currently, he is a Senator for the Valencian Parliament since 2007 renewing the mandate in 2008 and 2011.

Education

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery, specializing in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the University of Valencia. He has worked as medical specialist attached to the Hospital of Alicante and he was president of the Free Trade Union of Doctors.
