Joe Mizzi was born on 7 of March 1952 in Haz Zabbar. He is the current Minister for Transport and the Infrastructure of Malta.


Political career[edit]

He was appointed as Propaganda Secretary in 1975. He was first elected to Parliament in 1987 and has been re-elected every time since then. In 1989 he was appointed Parliamentary Group Secretary and member of the Labour Party administration, a post he retains to date. In 1996 he was Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister. Mizzi was appointed the main Opposition spokesperson for Energy and Resources and also as Parliamentary Whip. Following the 2013 General Elections he was re-elected to Parliament on the 11th of March 2013 and was appointed as Minister.


Education[edit]

He studied at the Technical Institute where he completed his studies in Telecommunications and Electronics. He works as an Operations manager in a private company.
