Education
Joe Cassar was born on 19 May 1966. He was educated at St. Aloysius College and the University of Malta from where he graduated as a doctor in 1990. He specialised in psychiatry at the University of Yale, in the U.S. and is now a consultant in psychiatry with the Department of Health, and professor of the University of Malta.
History
During his career, he was President of the Malta Medical Students Association, executive member of the Medical Association of Malta, President of Yale Psychiatry Residents Association and an active member of the International Catholic Move. Nationalist Party represented the Medical Board of the Electoral Commission English. He authored several papers on psychiatry.
