Jim Walsh (May 5, 1947) is an Irish politician.

Political career[edit]

Jim Walsh was a member of Wexford County Council from 1979, and served as president of this body in 1992-1993. As a member of the Fianna Fáil party, he was a member of the Joint Committee on Environment and Local Government and Spokesperson on Environment and Local Government in Irish Senate, from 1997 to 2002. He was re-elected to the Seanad Éireann in July 2007 and placed on the Agricultural Panel. In the same term, he served as Spokesperson for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, also being a member of the Joint Committee on Communications, Energy and Natural Resources Membership. Jim Walsh was re-elected in April 2011 and kept his place on the Agricultural Panel.

Education[edit]

He obtained a diploma at New Ross CBS.
