Jef Van den Bergh was born on February 5th 1973 in Essen (Belgium). He is member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish Christian Democratic Party (CD&V).

Political Career[edit]

Jef Van den Bergh started his political career in 2004 as a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for CD&V. He still holds this seat today. In 2007 he became a councillor in Kalmthout, and later, in 2013, he got elected as alderman of education, mobility, and urban planning. Since 2007, Jef Van den Bergh has been a member of the Benelux Parliament, where he is leader of the Christian Democratic group.

Education[edit]

He holds a Master’s degree in political science from the KU Leuven.
