Jaroslav Baška

Jaroslav Baška was born on the 5th of April 1975. He stood for the Smer seat in the Trenčiansky region.

Political Career

Jaroslav Baška was elected to the Klub SMER - SD and held a number of political posts. From 2002 to 2006 he held a position as Member of the National Council and member of the Permament Delegation of the National Council of the Slovak Republic to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. From 2003 he was Mayor of Dohňany and was re-elected to Parliament in 2006. There he stood as Minister of Defense in 2008 and held a position on the Committee on Defence and Security. Currently he is a member of the Special Control Committee for the Control of Activities of the Slovak Intelligence Service


Education

1989 - 1993 Secondary School Hejnice, specializing in energy, completed graduation with honors 1993 - 1998 University of Zilina, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, completed honors and master's degree
