Jana Vaľová was born on 8th of July 1965. Se is currently a member of Slovak National Council as member of Smer-SD and of Committee on European Affairs. She is also mayor of town Humenné.

Political Career

In 2000, Jana Vaľová entered politics, becoming a member and district chairperson of the Smer-SD party. In 2005, she was elected a member of regional parliament in Prešov. She became president of the 'Committee of Culture and Ethnic Minorities'. In 2009, she was reelected as MP in the region of Prešov. She served as vice president of the 'Committee of Culture and Ethnic Minorities'

Education

In 2008, Jana Vaľová graduated from Faculty of Health Sciences and Social Work at Trnavská Univerzita in Trnava.
