Jana Vaľová

Jana Vaľová was born on 8th of July 1965. She is currently a member of Slovak National Council as member of Smer-SD and of the Committee on European Affairs. She is also the mayor of town Humenné.

Political Career

In 2000, Jana Vaľová entered politics, becoming a member and the district chairperson of the Smer-SD party. In 2005, she was elected a member of the regional parliament in Prešov. She became president of the 'Committee of Culture and Ethnic Minorities'. In 2009, she was re-elected as MP in the region of Prešov. She served as vice president of the 'Committee of Culture and Ethnic Minorities'

Education

In 2008, Jana Vaľová graduated from the Faculty of Health Sciences and Social Work at Trnavská Univerzita in Trnava.
