Small Introduction

Ioan Adam (born 1 December 1952, Poiana Marului) is a layer, law professor and a Romanian politician. He´s a member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2012.

Political Career

In the period 1983 – 1994 was a judge at the Court of Brasov and later, between 1990 – 1994 he was the president of this same court. Before becoming a lawyer, he was a judge at the Court of Justice in Brasov. In 1997 he founded the Civil Society of lawyers called “Ioan Adam and Adrian Rusu”.


Education

In 1981 he graduated from the Law Faculty of the Babes - Bolyai University in Cluj , with the thesis " How to close civil contracts". In 1995 he had a PhD in law from the University of Law in Bucharest. In 2002 he became an academic, but he didn´t abandoned the work as lawyer. In this setting – area of interest he published also some academic books and some monographies.

In 2006 he received the award “I. L Georgescu” for his essay “ The law 85/2006. Commentaries / reflections and explanations ” written in collaboration with Codrut Nicolae Savu, published the same year by C.H. Beck.
