Helena Dalli is the current Minister for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties following the general election of 9th March 2013.

Political Career[edit]

In the Eighth Parliament, Dallli was elected on 29th October, 1996 and on the same date was appointed as Parliamentary Secretary for Women Rights. She ceased to hold this office as of the 7th September 1998. She was subsequently re-elected to Parliament in 1998, 2003, 2008 and in 2013.

She was sworn into her current role as Minister for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties on the 13th March 2013.

Dalli is a lecturer in Economic and Political Sociology, Public Policy, and Sociology of Law at the University of Malta. She is a columnist for The Times and L-Orizzont.
