Genowefa Tokarska

Genowefa Tokarska – (born on 5th August 1949 in Biszcza, Poland) – is a Polish politician and local government politician from 2007 to 2011 voivode of Lublin, Member of Parliament (VII term).

Political Career

She is a member of the Polish Peoples Party. Between 1990-2007 she served as mayor of the Municipality Biszcza (district biłgorajski) for five terms. In November 29, 2007 she was appointed governor of Lublin. In the elections in 2011 she received a mandate to the Polish parliament and became governor.

Education

In 1973 she graduated from the Agricultural University in Lublin and received a an agricultural engineering degree. She also studied at the School of Education IKN in Lublin (which she graduated in 1974) and at the Agricultural Economics School of Economics in Warsaw (completed in 1989).
