Education

Roderick Galdes attended his primary education in Qormi and his secondary education at Liceo Vassalli of Handaq. He graduated with a Master of Arts in studies on small islands, Bachelor and Diploma Studies in Planning from the University of Malta.

History

He is a professional in the field of Urban Planning. Between 1996 and 1998 he worked in the Private Secretariat of the Ministry of Justice and Local Council. He was appointed Assistant Executive Secretary of the Planning Council of Malta. Roderick was the founder of Basketball Club Qormi in 1995 and President of the same Society until 2001. He was the General Secretary of the Labour Youth between 1991 and 2001. He is the youngest elected councilor in the first local council elections in 1994. In 2004 Roderick was elected as a Deputy Speaker of Parliament and was appointed minister of Environment and National Heritage.
