Florida, Richard (1957-)

Richard Florida is an American urban studies theorist and currently a professor and head of the Martin Prosperity Institute at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He is best known for his concept of the creative class and its implications for urban regeneration. Florida’s best-selling books include The Rise of the Creative Class, Cities and the Creative Class, and The Flight of the Creative Class. His most recent publication titled Who’s Your City? examines urban development and the economic effects of talent migration
