Sophoclis Fittis was born in Kyrenia in 1947. He is a Greek/Cypriot politician and agronomist.

Political Career

He is Representative of Kyrenia constituency under the banner of DIKO since 2001. He served as Administrative Clerk of the House, as Chairman of the House Standing Committee on Human Rights,and as Vice-chairman of the Executive Committee of the Cyprus CPA (Commonwealth Parliamentary Association) Branch. He is currently Administrative Clerk of the House,Chairman of the House Standing Committee on Human Rights and on Equal Opportunities for Men and Women,and Member of the House Standing Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources, of the House Standing Committee on the Environment.

Education

Sophoclis Fittis graduated in Agronomy (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece) and MSc in Agricultural and Rural Development (Institute of Social Studies, The Hague).He speaks English.
