Emma Petitti was born on May 12th 1970 in Rimini, Emilia Romagna. She is an Italian politician of the Party Partito Democratico .
Political career
In 2006 Emma Petitti became the president of the Cultural Commission in the Rimini town council. In 2010 she joined Partito Democratico and she was elected Municipal Secretary of Partito Democratico for the city of Rimini. In 2011 she was re-elected Rimini Municipal Secretary with 900 votes. In the general elections of 2013 she was elected in the italian Chambres of deputies for the Party Partito Democratico for the district of Emilia Romagna. Moreover from May 2013 she is a member of the Trade and Tourism Commission.
Education
Emma Petitti got a degree in Philosophy at the University of Bologna. Since 90s she has been involved in research projects about gender policies with the University of Bologna. In 2002 she received the scolarship "Donne e ricerca" and the Price "Marisa Bellisario" because of these research projects about gender policies. Additionally, she has collaborated with the University of Bologna and with the Documentazione Donne di Bologna Center to the realization of the Strategie di Genere Institute and of the School "Hannah Arendt".
