Udrea Elena Gabriela(born 26th of December 1973) is a Romanian politician and lawyer. On the 22nd of September she presented her candidature for the presidential election in Romania.

Political Career

Elena Udrea is the Leader of the Romanian People's Movement Party and, since 2008 has been a member of the Romanian Parliament's Chamber of Deputies. Under the administration of Prime Minister Emil Boc, she also served as Romanian Minister of Tourism. From February to November 2005, Elena Udrea was a State Councillor and head of the Presidential Chancellery under President Traian Băsescu.

Education

After graduating in 1996 from the Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University, she earned a graduate degree in military science from the Carol I National Defence University.
