Dimitris Gelalis was born in Verdikousia , Elassonas in 1958. He is a Greek politician and economist.

Political Career

He was elected as an MP in the June 2012 national elections with SYRIZA/Unitary Social Front.

Education Career

He is a graduate from the University of Macedonia (Graduate School of Industrial Studies of Thessaloniki).

Notable Work

He is a former president and member of the Greece’s Chamber of Finance (Regional Department of Thessalia), president and secretary of the Union of Accountants of Larisa, member of the General Council of Greek Confederation of Accountants, member of the Employees Association of Larisa’s Union Of Agricultural Cooperatives, member of the Economic and Social Council of Greece (department of Larisa). He is also a member of the Greek Ship to Gaza and of Greek Social Forum.
