Dieter Brosz, born on November 12, 1968 in Wien, is an Austrian politician and a Member of Parliament for the Greens (Die Grünen) since 1999.

Political career[edit]

Between 1989 and 1990, Brosz was the first country financial officer of the Greens in Lower Austria and was employed full-time between 1993 and 1999 as an executive board member of the Open Education Workshop northeast. Brosz has been Chairman of the National Committee of the Greens in Lower Austria since 1998 and since 1999 he has been a member of the national board of the Green Education Workshop. Since October 29, 1999, Brosz has represented the Greens in the National Council. From 1999 to 2008, he was their education, youth and sport spokesman, and since 2008 , the ORF Sport spokesman. In the legislature up until 2013, he has been a member of the Subcommittee of the Committee lessons, Rules Committee, Immunity Committee, Sports Affairs and Teaching Committee.

Education[edit]

Dieter Brosz attended the elementary school in Trumau from 1975 to 1979, and afterwards the high school in Baden bei Wien. In 1983, Brosz attented the Commercial Academy in Baden, where he graduated in 1988 with the Matura. From 1988 until 1993, Brosz studied Political Sciences at the University of Vienna, he however could only complete the first section.
