Diaspora diplomacy is similar to the concept of [[Citizen Diplomacy|citizen diplomacy]]. It refers to diaspora communities coming together in their respective countries and seeking to build stronger connections with the mainstream population. These ethnic groups are also committed to the positive development of their countries of origin.
