Engagement in Cultural Diplomacy[edit]

Danone wants to promote and respect four core values: humanism (sharing, responsibility, and respect for others), openness (curiosity, agility and dialogue), proximity (accessibility, authenticity and empathy) and enthusiasm (boldness, passion and appetite). The company has a unique style of leadership because it has established leadership attitudes called CODE attitudes (Committed, Open, Doer and Empowered).

Employment Policy[edit]

Danone considers diversity as a source of innovation and strength for the Group, and believe that diversity should be at the heart of human relations. The company is also promoting gender equality.

Education[edit]

International Internship Programs[edit]

The company offers internships in its subsidiaries based in Europe (United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium).

Grants and Scholarships[edit]

Danone has created institutes in Israel and Japan which are not-for-profit organizations that bring together internationally recognized nutrition experts to develop programs for education and training in nutrition, as well as for the support of related research, with a total of over 140 individual scholarships awarded to date.

Notable activities[edit]

Activities in the Field of Humanitarian Aid[edit]

Run with faith in heart is a social initiative inspired by "Danone" to help children with heart disease. Early diagnosis of heart disease increases the chances of the small patients of a speedy and full recovery. Unfortunately, in Ukraine only few medical institutions can diagnose the disease in time and cure it. In order to help children's hospitals with the procurement of necessary equipment , sympathetic and kind residents of Ukrainian cities are joining the race. In such way they show their personal involvement and commitment to fight heart disease by making charitable contributions and engaging in sport activities during the run.

Supporting Music & Visual Arts[edit]

Danone has created a partnership with the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), which is devoted to the prevention of kidney diseases, as well as the co-production of an educational film on the golden rules of good kidney health.

Promoting Human and Civil Rights[edit]

The company is respecting the declaration of human rights at all levels. It is also possible to read many documents on the official website about this subject, which explains how the company is involved in respecting human rights.

Moreover, 60% of Danone employees live in emerging countries where healthcare systems are often poor. In 2009 Danone launched the Dan’Cares programme in order to provide health cover to all employees worldwide which increases employee commitment.
