History

Robert Cutajar began his political career working in the Secretariat of former Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi for five years. He is currently working in the Foreign Ministry of Social Affairs in Auberge de Castille. Between 2006 and 2008 he held the position of chairman of the PN in Mellieha, in the same committee. He also served as Deputy Mayor in Mellieha between 1999 and 2002. He was the youngest candidate in the 2008 election on the PN list for the 12th district. In the last general elections held in March 2013, Robert was elected Member of Parliament. He also challenged the election of the Local Council in March 2008 where he got the most votes of all candidates. He was appointed mayor, the youngest of Mellieha.
