Culture as Social Reconstruction

The idea that cultures are predisposed to change as societies are constantly undergoing transformation. As new ideas enter society due to the influence of mass communication and spread of knowledge, trends begin to change and people develop a different cultural mindset. In some cases, this might lead to a “cultural loss”, as old cultural patterns are replaced by new ones. In this sense, culture not only responds to changes in the social and natural environment, but in turn, reconstructs the social system.
