Cultural Heritage[edit]

Term that refers to the legacy of artifacts, monuments, and intangible cultural aspects inherited from the past and transmitted from generation to generation. The UNESCO definition of cultural heritage emphasizes the relevance of intangible cultural aspects as a key component of preserving cultural diversity in the face of increasing globalization. An understanding of intangible cultural heritage is necessary for successful intercultural dialogue and fostering mutual understanding and trust.
