Lefteris Christoforou is a representative of Famagusta constituency under the banner of the DISY-Liberals Coalition 1996-2001 and under the banner of DISY since 2001.

Political career:

  • Member of the High School Students Movement (MAKI) and of the DISY Youth Organisation (NEDISY) (1976-1981).
  • Famagusta District Secretary of NEDISY (1993-1996).
  • Famagusta District representative of the bank employees to the Cyprus Union of Bank Employees (ETYK) (1994-1997).
  • DISY Commissioner for Refugees, Enclaved, Missing and Adversely Affected Persons (2001-2006).
  • Vice-president of DISY.
  • Deputy President of DISY since May 2013.
