Celeste Costantino was born in Melito Di Porto Salvo (Reggio Calabria) in 1979. She is an Italian politician who has been elected for the first time to be a MP of the Italian Chamber of Deputies in the seventeenth legislation.

Political Career

Celeste Costantino was elected in the 2013 general elections in the Piemonte region for the “Sinistra Ecologia e Libertà”. She is a member of the Commission for Constitutional Affairs, Presidency and Interns, as well as the Commission for Culture, Science and Instruction. She was appointed as the delegate for the GA of the Council of Europe.

Education

Hon. Costantino graduated in Philosophy with a specialization in ophthalmology at the Catholic University of Rome and Modena University. After her degree she worked as an ophthalmologist.

Special Achievements

Celeste is thoroughly committed to foster rights for women, and is against discrimination. She also has at heart the fight against the Mafia and job insecurity.
